Vomitory are a Swedish Death Metal band which was already formed in 1989. Influenced by bands like Sodom, Napalm Death, Venom and Slayer, they soon released some demo tapes and 7" vinyls. The next step in their history was the release of two CDs (1998, 1999) on a small Dutch indie label. At the end of the year 2000, they have finally released their third album 'Revelation Nausea' on a bigger label, Metal Blade. I am not able to compare what they are playing now with the stuff of the first records, but I suppose that Vomitory must have learned a lot during more than ten years of band history. 'Revelation Nausea' is an extremely brutal and fast Death Metal album, even typically Swedish Old School. If you like fast guitars and drums, sick sounding voices and morbid lyrics, this attack to your ears may be welcome to you. |
