Sorrogate released already in 1995 their first demo-CD which was called 'Endless Interrogation'. After four years and two changes of members in the band, they finally released their second demo-CD called 'The Split'. Their debut went more into Thrash Metal that was inspired by bands of the late eighties. The songs on the actual release are more varied and contain aspects of Thrash, Power and Heavy Metal. The opener which is also the title track is a midtempo song and the weakest song on the album. Certainly not the best choice for an opener. I prefer the other three songs, especially 'Wall Of Lies' which is a hard straight forward metal song. 'Thoughts Are Free' is from the musical point of view the most technical track on the CD. The last one's called 'Madman's Dream' and sounds a bit like the very early Metallica. I think that everybody shall decide for himself if this demo-CD is just charming and even a big nostalgic or simply just out of fashion.
