On this tribute record, 12 different artists from Sweden try to cover different songs by the Sisters Of Mercy. By mixing elements of Gothic and Rock'n'Roll, this legendary band got very popular, especially in the early nineties. I never was a very big fan of this band, and so this record can't excite me to much. My main reproach towards most of the covering bands is that their versions are too close to the originals. Best exceptations are Sex Sex Sex and The Darkside Cowboys who are presenting much harder versions than the originals, what is a trendy movement nowadays. Headtrip Inc try to mix the Sisters sound with electronic and dance elements, not a very happy mixture. In my ears, there are better tribute albums than this one.
