The Last Millenium Suckers belong to the
newcomers in the Luxemburgian Punk scene. They got formed about the change of millenium, have played
lots of concerts and recorded one in January 2001 to release a first CD. As the whole concert got
only recorded with one microphone, you can't expect a too high sound quality. Furthermore, two songs
have a bad ending. But I saw that concert also live and there it was better than on CD. LMS got
influenced by bands like Nirvana, No FX and especially L7, maybe because they have two female singers.
The live part of the CD is containing 13 songs which include some cover versions (No Milk Today by
Herman's Hermits, Vixen by L7 and My Vagina by No FX). I think that especially the drum sound is
really bad. The CD is containing two more songs recorded at a studio and two comments by a Radio ARA
speaker about their songs. You can't expect much quality on this CD, but as the Last Millenium Suckers
are selling it for only 200 LUF (in order to get back their costs), you should give that young
promising band a deserved chance. Contact LMS by sending ane-mail. |
